"Rawles on Retreats and Relocation"--my non-fiction book, recently released by Cafe Press. In it, I discuss the whys, wheres, and hows on buying, building, and stocking a survival retreat. Covers a wide variety of topics in great detail. For example, I compare and rank 19 western states in factors such as population density, climate, taxes, gun laws, schools, land /home prices, tribal reservation boundaries, agriculture, economy, insurance costs, crime rates, potential WWIII and terrorist targets, et cetera. I make detailed recommendations on retreat locales within those states. It also includes detailed profiles of 20 survivalist families who "live the life"--with specifics on their locales, their logistics, their firearms batteries, et cetera. This 225 page self-published soft cover is a "must" for every survivalist's bookshelf. "Rawles on Retreats and Relocation" is available directly from the publisher, Cafe Press. With quantity production, I've recently reduced the price to $28, plus postage. I also have a few autographed copies available, for $30 each, Book Rate postage paid to U.S. and APO/FPO addresses. Antique (Pre-1899 --"No FFL") Guns:

Note: I often have people ask me about the significance of pre-1899 guns, and why I place such an emphasis on them. I explain this in my Pre-1899 FAQ, available free at: http://www.rawles.to/FAQ_index.html. Pre-1899 guns are the last bastion of private gun ownership! No FFL is required to order any of the following listed antique guns. You must be 18 years old to order rifles and 21 years old to order handguns. Consult your State and local laws before ordering. Have any antique checked by a qualified gunsmith before shooting. Shoot only loads that are appropriate for guns of this vintage.

Note: I am currently SOLD OUT of pre-1899 guns. I highly recommend The Pre-1899 Specialist (A SurvivalBlog advertiser.) They have a great inventory of Federally exempt shootable antique cartridge guns.

Payment Terms and Ordering Instructions:
Except for ammunition orders, all prices quoted INCLUDE postage and Delivery Confirmation tracking to the original 48 States, if the order is $50 or more. (If less than $50, I can provide a postage quotation via e-mail.)

I do not accept credit cards, nor do I have an automated "shopping cart" system. This is mail order more or less the old-fashioned way. You send me your payment, and I then send you your merchandise.

Overseas orders: I don't ship overseas, except some books to Great Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Shipping & Mailing:
I ship most orders except guns or books via Priority Mail, with tracking label. Books are mailed via USPS Book Rate. Guns are normally shipped via UPS Ground service. Special note on our mail forwarding: We live at a remote ranch in "The Unnamed western state." Our mail is forwarded from Moyie Springs, Idaho once every two weeks. If you send payment via snail mail, please be patient. You can expect a two week delay before I get your payment.

The Legal Fine Print:
I do not ship high capacity magazines to States or localities with prohibitions, including:
No pistol or SMG magazines with a capacity over 10 rounds to Hawaii. (High capacity magazines that only fit rifles are allowed. (For example, since there are AR-15 pistols, AR-15 magazines are banned.)
No magazines with a capacity over 10 rounds to CA, DC, MA, and NY*, (*For NY, see State Penal Code 265.23 for details, including the no post-9/94 production high capacity mag restriction. I can ship 11+ round magazines that were made before 9/94 to New York.)
No magazines with a capacity over 12 rounds to Chicago, Illinois
No magazines with a capacity over 15 rounds to NJ; , South Bend, Indiana, or Aurora; Illinois
No magazines with a capacity over 20 rounds to MD, Wichita, Kansas, or the City & County of Denver Colorado
No rifle magazines with a capacity over 5 rounds to Canada--and then only via a US-ITAR licensed exporter. You must make the arrangements.
No pistol magazines with a capacity over 10 rounds to Canada--and then only via a US ITAR-licensed exporter. You must make the arrangements.
No centerfire magazines with a capacity over 7 rounds to New Zealand.* --and then only via a US ITAR-licensed exporter. You must make the arrangements.
No rimfire magazines with a capacity over 15 rounds to New Zealand.*--and then only via a US ITAR-licensed exporter. You must make the arrangements.

*Note on New Zealand: Magazine capacity is limited for those with “A” category licensing only. Those with “E:” category license can have centerfire or rimfire magazines for the “E” category weapons (military style semi automatic) that are unlimited in capacity.

Ammunition (of any type) cannot be shipped to any overseas destination, to the city of Sacramento, California; Marin, Napa, Ventura, and Yolo counties in California, Cook County, Illinois; Alaska, Hawaii, the Chicago Metro Area, New York City, New Jersey, Massachusetts, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada , or to APO/FPO addresses.

Tracer ammunition cannot be shipped to California or to Baltimore, Maryland.

Consult your State and local laws before ordering! Even for pre-1899 antiques, buyers must be 21 for pistols/revolvers, and 18 for rifles/shotguns.

Inspection Period/Buyer's Remorse Policy: I provide a 10 day "non firing" inspection period and a "no questions asked" return policy on firearms only. I will provide a refund if you are not completely satisfied. (Full refund on purchase price, but the buyer pays for the return shipping.) Again, check your state and local laws before ordering! Book orders are refundable only if there was a printing error or if the condition of the book did not meet your satisfaction.

Forms of Payment by Mail:
I take payment via USPS money orders (payable to Jim Rawles), greenback cash, or "Forever" (Liberty Bell) postage stamps. (NO checks!)

Payment in silver:
I also accept pre-1965 mint date U.S. silver coinage (dimes, quarters, or half dollars) at the very generous rate of 14 times face value, or 16 times face value for silver dollars! (To pay in silver dimes, quarters, or half dollars, take the total for your order, and divide by 14. Hence, if your order totals $280, you would mail me just $20 face value in U.S. silver coins dated 1964 or earlier.)

If sending currency or stamps, be sure to wrap it in paper so that it cannot be seen through the envelope. If sending silver coinage, be sure to mail it in a sturdy, rattle-free box, insured! Send cash at your own risk.

Online Payments:
We accept payments via AlertPay, GearPay, and PayPal. (I prefer AlertPay or GearPay because they don't share PayPal's anti-gun political agenda.) In my experience, AlertPay has a frustratingly labyrinthine account set-up procedure, but GearPay seems much quicker and easier to set up.
Our AlertPay address is: rawles@usa.net
Our GearPay address is: rawles@usa.net
Our PayPal address is: rawles@earthlink.net
PayPal payments are accepted for payments on anything except guns and 11+ round capacity magazines. (Which PayPal does not allow.)

If paying via USPS money order, cash, or silver, use this address:
