The SurvivalBlog "Ten Cent Challenge"

If you value what you read on SurvivalBlog, please help support our efforts. I challenge every regular reader to donate just 10 cents per day to support the blog. (Which equals $3 per month, or $36.50 per year.)  If you don’t feel that you don’t get 10 cents worth of useful information and inspiration from the blog each day, then you can pass, since donations are purely voluntary.  But I have hopes that at least 5% of readers will contribute. (Statistically, the average sponsorship for free Internet sites like this one is just 0.5% of readers. I hope that SurvivalBlog readers defy that statistic.)

To clarify: The blog is updated with fresh daily, almost without fail. It has been operated this way since 2005. We’ve never had any e-mailings. We keep NO e-mail lists! The voluntary Ten Cent Challenge is intended for donations to support the blog. For an additional fee, we recently added the SurvivalBlog Old School (SOS) snail mail newsletter, but that is just a contingency mailing list, for the event that blog posting becomes unavailable, due to government or Internet service action. I’ve only promised one issue via U.S. Mail per year, and perhaps a few others, sporadically. More frequent issues will be added only if the SurvivalBlog itself is disrupted from WWW posting.

Your donations are gratefully accepted via credit card, GabPay, PayPal, Bitcoin, cash, money orders, “Forever” postage stamps, or checks.

The Silver Dimes Option
We also accept payment for subscriptions in the form of pre-1965 U.S. silver dimes, quarters, or half-dollars. The current multiplier for the value of pre-’65 silver is around 25-to-1. (25 times face value.) So just send $1.50 face value in silver dimes for each year’s subscription. Please put them in a double plastic bag and tape that to a scrap 3″x5″ piece of cardboard before placing that in a padded envelope, so that the coins don’t rattle around and so the envelope does not get shredded. (I’ve heard from Postal Service employees that mail sorting equipment is very hard on standard envelopes!) And of course, check with your postal clerk for the correct postage.

Note: GabPay is now our preferred payment method. My GabPay account’s “@” address for that is: ” JamesWesleyRawles “, to send me funds.
We can take subscription payments via credit card, through Elk Creek Company..(Monthly, annually, or one-time donations.) Note: Just ignore the request for a copy of your driver’s license — that is intended for payments for antique guns, as proof of age.

We greatly appreciate your support to help keep this blog up and running!
Our mail forwarding address for cash, postage stamps (preferably “Forever” Liberty Bell postage stamps) money orders, checks, or silver coins is:

James Wesley, Rawles
c/o P.O. Box 303
Moyie Springs, Idaho 83845

NOTE: DO NOT send any review books or other packages (except small padded envelopes if you are sending silver coins) to that address! (If you must send a larger package, please e-mail me first, for details.)

Note: If you send your donation in cash, please round down to $36, or round up to $37. If you send $36.50 including two quarters, then the postal service will charge you an extra 72 cents for having an overweight “non-machine sortable” envelope! If you send cash, be sure to wrap it in paper so that it cannot be seen through the envelope. Thanks!
